About Belize Outdoor Adventures

José Hernandez began his journey as a tour guide at the renowned Ian Anderson’s Caves Branch, where he developed his skills and gained valuable experience in outdoor adventure. Over the years, he worked as a freelance guide with respected companies like Hamanasi, Jaguar Paw, Chukka, and Caves Branch Outpost. Through these opportunities, José became highly knowledgeable in the many outdoor activities that make Belize unique. Today, José operates his own tour company, where his passion for guiding and sharing Belize’s natural wonders continues. When you join his tours, you’ll have the rare privilege of being guided by the owner himself, someone who truly knows and loves every corner of The Great Belize Outdoors.

Our guides have taken the courses and trainings required by the Belize Tourism Board and have been licensed as Tour Guides, their main goal is to manage safety and risks along with all the other qualities of safeguarding adventure travel, environmental integrity of destinations, reputation, fun and memorable experiences. With the many years of experience they are also certified in:

Meet The Team

Our Team is composed of eight tour guides with different specialities who are also drivers and three back-up guides that are part of the Cave and River Kayaking Tours as well as overnight expeditions. Two guides within the team specialize in birding, the others in jungle, rivers, caves, Mayan Archaeology and the richly diverse flora and fauna of our overlapping wildlife habitats.
